The word literature is the the written kind documents of the identity of
humanity for us Filipinos. Through literature, we would be able to hear
and said the unspoken discourse that manipulate, hold, and controls us.
It will stimulate our imagination in an expressive way to different
literary genre. We can understand those thing that are not easily
understood, we can see our faces, we can hear our voices, we can taste
our uniqueness, we can feel our unity, and smell our differences.
Just like Jose Rizal, he is considered one of our Philippines heroes of
the. studying in Europe, he was the most prominent advocate for reform
in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. His social
commentaries during the the Spanish colonization of the country formed
the nucleus of literature that inspired peaceful reformists and armed
revolutionaries alike.
It educates us about how influential and commanding language can be,
literature binds us and it raises our oneness to build our very own
definition and meaning, then we can understand ourselves better and take
pride in being a Filipino.
